In an appearance with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker talked up governors and his own tenure in Madison, saying “it’s one thing to fight, but it’s another to win.”
Walker added that he’s fought and won throughout his time as governor, especially in defeating the unions who tried to recall him over his collective bargaining reforms.
“Well, I think you have to lead. you look across the country, governors are doing it one state after another. They are leading. It’s one thing to fight but it’s another thing to win,” Walker said. “What we have done in Wisconsin is fight and win for the hard working taxpayers.”
“We have done that by putting the power back in their hand. It’s part of the reason we had the fight with the big government union bosses, the union bosses four years ago,” Walker told the Fox host. “If you show in the end that you are fighting for the hard working taxpayers and winning, they are going to stand with you.”
Walker made the comments on “On The Record” with Van Susteren Tuesday night.
