ISIS jihadist “Jihadi John,” who speaks fluent, British English and who has beheaded several hostages, is a Pittsburgh Pirates fan who majored in computer science at a mediocre university in London where Islamic radicalism is flourishing.

Sky News has tracked down a photo of the brutal, knife-wielding Muslim militant, whose real name is Mohammed Emwazi.

The image shows Emwazi, 26, sporting a shabby goatee and a flat-billed baseball cap bearing the logo of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Previous images of Emwazi show him decapitating ISIS hostages in extensively-circulated videos. In the videos, he is dressed in black and his head is covered, with only a slit for his eyes.

Prior to his career as an ISIS foot soldier in the Middle East, Emwazi attended the British taxpayer-funded University of Westminster in central London. There, he obtained a degree in computer programming and business management.

He then went to work as a computer programmer before absconding to Syria to join the new and burgeoning Islamic State. (RELATED: Obama Uses Prayer Breakfast To Call For Curbs On Islam Criticism)

Reports indicate that Emwazi came from a comfortable, sheltered middle-class background. His family is devoutly Muslim.

Alumni of the University of Westminster have taken to Twitter to describe the cultural atmosphere at the school as very welcoming to proponents of radical Islam.

“Extremist students and visitors consistently given a platform,” wrote ex-student Avinash Tharoor, according to the Daily Express.

“I’d primarily blame the extremists in the student union and the University of Westminster staff allowing them to hold office,” Tharoor added.

In a statement, the Pittsburgh Pirates expressed displeasure at having the team associated with one of the world’s most notorious Islamic radicals.

It’s “absolutely sickening” “to see this murderer wearing a Pirates cap in this old photo,” a statement from the club said, according to ESPN.

Team officials also noted that team members, coaches and fans wear the golden “P” on a black background with pride.

Emwazi’s beheading victims include two American journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff; Peter Kassig, an American aid worker; and two British aid workers, Alan Henning and David Haines.
