Chicago sports fans are probably just as annoyed with Derrick Rose’s inability to stay healthy as they are with the Cubs’ inability to win the World Series. However, that hasn’t stopped them from losing hope.
Bulls fans are keeping the ever-injured Rose in their thoughts and prayers, and on Sunday they held a vigil for Rose and his injured knees.
Rose was the NBA MVP in the 2010-2011 season. He tore his left ACL in the 2012 playoffs and as a result missed the entire 2012-2013 season. Early in the 2013-2014 season, he tore the meniscus in his right knee and missed the rest of that season. Rose tore the same meniscus again earlier this season and on Feb. 24 it was announced that he would have surgery to repair it, thus causing him to miss the rest of the season.
