President Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t lie all the time. Only when the truth doesn’t suit him.
Here’s the standard pattern:
- Tell a big fat stinkin’ lie.
- See if anybody buys it.
- If so, move along to the next lie. If not, do a complete 180 while claiming it’s what you’ve said all along.
As Reena Flores of CBS News reported last Saturday:
President Obama only learned of Hillary Clinton’s private email address use for official State Department business after a New York Times report, he told CBS News in an interview.
CBS News senior White House correspondent Bill Plante asked Mr. Obama when he learned about her private email system…
“The same time everybody else learned it through news reports,” the president told Plante.
In order for you to buy this, you’d have to believe that the president of the United States and the secretary of state didn’t exchange a single email over the course of four years. In, um, the 21st century.
Or, if they did, you’d have to assume that Obama saw hdr22@clintonemail.com (or one of her many other secret, illegal addresses), and he’s such a big dummy that he didn’t notice it wasn’t a .gov address. He didn’t say to anybody, “Hey, is this secure? Don’t we have our own servers for a reason? Should she be doing this?”
You’d have to assume that America’s first cyber-president is too stupid to read an email address.
Obviously, Obama would rather be seen as a liar than a moron. That’s why he sent out Josh Earnest to tell a different version of the lie, as Neil Munro reports:
President Barack Obama actually did know that Hillary Clinton used a non-government email address when she was secretary of state, but didn’t know the extent of her private email system, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday.
“I would not describe the numbers of emails as large. … He was not aware of the details of how that email address and that server had been set up,” Earnest said…
Earnest dodged questions about the president’s knowledge of Clinton’s email practices, and how the administration should respond.
“I’m not going to get into a lot of detail. … The president did email with Secretary Clinton,” he said.
Oh.
As always, Obama lied when he said he didn’t know about the wrongdoing under his administration until he saw it on the news. Usually, these claims of incompetence are brushed aside by our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the media. “He’s the smartest president ever, yet he has no idea what’s going on? Seems legit!” He’s just that awesome.
However, the gatekeepers seem to be taking an unusual interest in this story, even though the people brazenly lying to them are their fellow Democrats. So maybe they’ll keep asking questions. Maybe they’ll risk being called racists. Maybe they’ll extract something resembling the truth out of these corrupt slimeballs. And maybe everybody will finally realize that when Obama says “transparency,” he means the other thing.
But then, I’m an eternal optimist…

Bad news: If foreign hackers have Hillary's emails (they do), they also have the President's email address since Obama corresponded w/ her.
