The latest trailer for Netflix’s “Daredevil” gives fans their first look at the blind hero’s chief antagonist, and shows that the line between hero and villain is thin in Hell’s Kitchen.

Actor Vincent D’Onofrio’s character “Kingpin” — who traditionally runs conscienceless organized crime in Daredevil’s piece of Manhattan — is given an extra dimension in the show as a self-styled savior, similar to Daredevil himself.

The thin line between hero and villain follows the overall theme of the balance between lawful and vigilante justice, wrapped up in the darker, grittier take comic book writer Frank Miller popularized in the late ’70s and early ’80s to redefine the character.
