Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is creating a new program for Starbucks baristas to discuss race relations with customers, as part of the coffee chain’s “Race Together” campaign.
Schultz announced the program in a video message to his 200,000 Starbucks employees. Baristas can now write “Race Together” on cups that they give to customers, and invite the customers to participate in a racial dialogue.
Here are some Starbucks menu items that already get me thinking about race.
