Vin Diesel revealed Monday morning that he and his wife had chosen to name their newborn daughter Pauline in honor of the late Paul Walker.
Speaking to Natalie Morales on the NBC “Today” show, Vin Diesel confirmed the name of his fourth child.
“I named her Pauline,” he said.
“There’s no other person I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I knew he was there, and it felt like a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world.”
Walker died in November 2013 from injuries he sustained during a car wreck.
Two days after his daughter was born, Diesel came straight from the hospital where had been staying with wife Paloma Jimenez to give an emotional introduction during the premiere of “Furious 7.” (RELATED: These Paul Walker Jokes From Justin Bieber’s Roast Made Ludacris Furious)
“This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie that I ever had to do because the relationships that you see on film are so real, when the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend, I lost my brother.”
