In an effort to stoke 2016 chatter, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will appear on ABC News’s “This Week” with host George Stephanopoulos Sunday morning.
O’Malley is currently the likeliest Democrat to stage a primary challenge against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, who formed an exploratory committee in December.
Ironically, O’Malley will be interviewed by Stephanopoulos, who once served as White House communications director during Bill Clinton’s first term in office.
The news was put out by the public affairs show early Friday morning.

O’Malley has increasingly been flirting with a run, having made a trip to Iowa last weekend, along with trips to New Hampshire and South Carolina in the weeks prior.
