At least 62 children have been killed and another 30 injured after a week of Saudi Arabia-led airstrikes against Iran-supported rebels in Yemen, reports UNICEF.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs released a report yesterday, documenting airstrikes at camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs). Strikes killed at least 29 civilians and injured 41, over half of which were women and children.

The current escalation in violence and the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation is exacerbating already precarious conditions for children in the country, with widespread food insecurity, severe acute malnutrition and increased rates of child recruitment.
Saudi Arabia leads the coalition of Sunni Arab states against the Houthis, a Shiite rebel group which overran the capital city and forced out Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
