The premiere for “Furious 7” got emotional Wednesday night when Vin Diesel remembered Paul Walker, who died in a car wreck during a break from filming the action movie in November 2013.

“You know I am going to speak,” Diesel said as he took the microphone and paused.

“I’m going to tell you something. Last year it was really hard to come back to work.”

But Diesel, who recently named his newborn daughter after Walker, said he came back because he saw Kurt Russell, Ludacris and others in the film do the same.

“This movie is more than a movie. You’ll feel it when you see it. Something emotional happens to you.”

Diesel later cemented his hand and footprint outside the TCL Chinese Theatre, saying that honoring Walker was the reason he and the rest of the crew finished the movie.
