Today is the day that all good Americans celebrate the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. Can you believe that it used to be against the law to drink a tasty beer? Can you believe that authoritarian scolds held sway over this great nation for over a decade? Can you believe it?
It’s a good thing we’ve given up trying to legislate morality. It’s a good thing we now realize that big government can’t stop us from living our lives as we see fit. It’s a good thing all the busybodies have given up trying to use the law to force compliance with their personal beliefs.
