An HBO documentary made shocking claims about John Travolta and Tom Cruise’s relationship with the Church of Scientology. Now Travolta is speaking out about why he won’t watch it.

In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, the “Pulp Fiction” actor said he hasn’t seen it and doesn’t plan to.

“I haven’t experienced anything that the hearsay has [claimed], so why would I communicate something that wasn’t true for me?” Travolta said.

“It wouldn’t make sense, nor would it for Tom [Cruise] I imagine.”

Travolta is easily one of the most famous members of the church, and has been for 40 years. He thinks the documentary is merely a product of “people who were disgruntled with their experiences.”

“I really don’t have anything to say that would shed light on [a documentary] so decidedly negative.”

“I’ve been brought through storms that were insurmountable, and it been so beautiful for me, that I can’t even imagine attacking it.”

The HBO doc alleges that Travolta is being blackmailed by the church after one of his private “auditing” sessions was taped, along with “assigning” Tom Cruise a girlfriend after his divorce from Nicole Kidman. (RELATED: Here’s The Actress ‘Assigned’ To Be Tom Cruise’s Girlfriend)
