Planned Parenthood Probably Should Have Reconsidered This Anti-Rand Paul Tweet

The official Twitter account for the nation’s largest abortion provider Planned Parenthood switched to full attack mode after Republican Senator Rand Paul announced his presidential campaign, but one tweet earned widespread mockery for its unfortunate implications. Planned Parenthood attempted to hit Rand Paul for his “Show Your Support” page, which allows users to identify with a number of different groups (“Lawyer for Rand,” “African-American for Rand,” “Democrat for Rand,” etc.), but not as a woman.

It might have been a valid point… if it weren’t for their awkward phrasing.

Many Twitter users pointed out that by saying the page “didn’t have anything for women,” they were implying that women couldn’t be lawyers, nurses, doctors, veterans, etc.

Planned Parenthood followed up with another tweet clearly intended to backtrack their last one, but that only earned them more mockery.
