Hockey is awesome.

But it’s just a game, and it’s always refreshing to see teams give back to the community.

For instance, the Arizona Coyotes used Saturday’s final game of the season to surprise a very-deserving pair of fans.

The Coyotes invited Eton and Ronnie Urman — parents of U.S. Army Sgt. Daniel Urman and 19-year Coyotes season ticket holders — to drop the puck at “Pack Pride Night,” but failed to mention the ceremony would have a surprise guest.

We’ve seen these family reunions before, but that doesn’t make each one any less special.

Well played, Arizona.
