Mookie Betts — the Boston Red Sox 22-year-old outfielder — started in his first home opener on Monday.
Boston fans expect the 156-pound, 5’9″ Betts needs to perform in his first, full-season in the majors, and if his play against the Washington Nationals is any indicator, the sky is the freakin’ limit for this kid.
Betts robbed a Bryce Harper-would-be-homerun in the 1st inning, stole two — count ’em TWO — bases on the same play in the 2nd and lazered a three-run dinger over the green monster in the 3rd.
