Nike unveiled Wednesday the new uniforms the United States Women’s National Soccer Team will be wearing in this summer’s World Cup.
The uniforms look great and all, except for one thing. Where’s the red and blue?
The home uniforms the Women’s National Team will sport do not do Old Glory any justice. The jerseys are white with gray trim. The shorts are white with gray trim. The socks are neon yellow. What part of gray and neon yellow screams America?!

The new #USWNT kits are out. They’re mostly plain, but … is that neon green? http://t.co/tORySOaeTE pic.twitter.com/W41KDaAnZW

Users on Twitter were quick to comment on the decidedly un-American color scheme.
.@nikesoccer are you sending the USWNT to a World Cup or a fucking rave? Come on, Nike. Do better.

@nikesoccer probably should have thought twice or maybe even three times about that kit design…

@worldsoccertalk an American flag sewn on the sleeve (or anywhere, really) would be a nice touch. I think flag should be mandatory.

WATCH:
I get that Nike is trying to be trendy with the neon socks and the clean kits, but seriously how the hell do you make Team USA’s jersey and not use a red, white and blue color scheme? How are fans supposed to bleed red, white and blue while their team is sporting gray and yellow?
The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off June 6 in Canada.
