Baltimore Orioles fans and others are trapped within the ballpark at Camden Yards as a result of the Saturday riots that broke out from demonstrators protesting the death of Freddie Gray.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake and the Baltimore City Police Department announced at a Saturday evening press conference that because of public safety concerns, those still inside the ballpark are asked to remain there until further notice.

Gray was a 25-year old black man who local police arrested for unknown reasons after a foot chase through a housing complex. Gray died as a result of a spinal cord injury suffered during his detainment by police.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Saturday’s protest was the largest demonstration relating to Gray’s death so far.

The Sun points out that that some protesters traveled from as far as Ferguson, Missouri. The first several hours were peaceful until marchers walked toward Camden Yards and violence broke out near three bars. Bottles were hurled at store front windows and cars, including police cruisers were damaged. Thirty-four people were arrested.
