Erin McPike has left CNN, Mirror sources confirm.
The news was first reported but not confirmed on TKNN, a political news site.
McPike had been employed with CNN since 2013. She could often be viewed on the network during the weekend segments. She covered the White House and was a special correspondent for “The Lead” with Jake Tapper.
As TKNN reported, her CNN bio has been deleted. CNNCommentary noticed that Twitter bio has also been stripped of any mention of CNN.
Before CNN, McPike worked for RealClearPolitics, National Journal and NBC.
The Mirror recently sat with McPike at Nerd Prom, a new documentary about the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She made no mention of leaving CNN and seemed to be in really good spirits.
I reached out to McPike by email. I also sought comment from a CNN publicist.
