Mayweather-Pacquiao: Floyd Agrees To Rematch That Shouldn’t Happen And NO ONE Wants To See

Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao on Saturday in what was hyped as “The Fight Of The Century,” but on Monday, it was revealed that Pacquiao was not fighting at 100 percent.

According to ESPN, Pacquio sustained a “serious tear” in his right rotator cuff back in early April, an injury that surely impeded his performance in the Mayweather bout. Pacquio will be forced to undergo surgery — keeping him out of commission for at least nine months — but it looks like Mayweather will be offering him one final shot at his belt.

After hearing of Pacquiao’s condition, Floyd texted ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, “I will fight him in a year after his surgery.”

With an undefeated record of 48-0, Mayweather has one more fight left in his contract with Showtime — he has a fight tentatively scheduled for September 2015 with Amir Khan — so a rematch with Pacquiao would require:
