FORGET INCOME INEQUALITY! Democrats Offer Lottery To Meet Obama In Posh BEVERLY HILLS

In a notable break from the Democratic Party’s constant cant about income inequality, the Democratic National Committee is now offering the exciting opportunity for “you and a friend” to meet President Barack Obama at a fancypants hotel in glitzy, gilded Beverly Hills, Calif.

Here are screenshots of the email the DNC splayed out on Sunday afternoon for its new tone-deaf lottery:

As the fine print of the email explains, one lucky winner will receive “round-trip tickets for winner and one guest from within the fifty U.S. States, DC, or Puerto Rico to Beverly Hills, CA; two (2) nights hotel accommodations for winner and one guest; the opportunity for winner and winner’s guest to attend a DNC event in Beverly Hills, CA on 6/18/15.”

The DNC estimates the retail value of the prize and its accompanying optics to be approximately $5,000.

“No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning.”

However, of course, no DNC email in the history of time would be complete without a plea for cash:

“Void where prohibited,” the email states. “Entries must be received by 6/11/15.”

“Enter by contributing here,” the email reads, if recipients somehow missed the five huge, unmistakable buttons appealing for up to $200.

“[O]r click here to enter without contributing,” the email adds, with a tiny in the fine-print wording which looks to be about five-point font.

“Click here to unsubscribe from our supporter list, but if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved in the organization that you’ve been such a critical part of,” the email concludes. “This organization is powered by you, and we’d love to hear your ideas. Send us any comments, criticisms, or feedback here, or just reply to this email! Thanks for supporting President Obama and other Democrats.”

The email of the DNC is democraticparty@democrats.org.
