Carly Fiorina Blames The Left For Turning Feminism Into Political Ideology

Businesswoman and presidential candidate Carly Fiorina’s campaign has released talking points from a speech Fiorina will deliver on Thursday that will recognize the modern feminist movement as leftist propaganda, debunk the war on women, and redefine contemporary feminism.

“Feminism began as a rallying cry to empower women — to vote, to get an education, to enter the workplace,” the Washington Examiner reported that Fiorina will say. “But over the years, feminism has devolved into a left-leaning political ideology where women are pitted against men and used as a political weapon to win elections.”

As an avid opposer to the ‘Republican war on women’ rhetoric, Fiorina will criticize the Left for creating that slogan to label all non-Democrats as “anti-woman.”

The Washington Examiner reported that Fiorina will credit the Democratic Party for enacting liberal policies that account for the struggles women still face in America despite being the country with “more opportunities than anywhere else on earth.”

“Women make up 48 percent of U.S. jobs,” the Examiner said, “but that 1 million have lost their jobs under President Obama.”

Fiorina’s speech will also serve to demonstrate her efforts to redefine feminism with her career.

“A feminist is a woman who lives the life she chooses. We will have arrived when every woman can decide for herself how to best find and use her God-given gifts,” says Fiorina. “A woman may choose to have five children and home-school them. She may choose to become a CEO … or run for president.”
