Albert Pujols made history on Thursday night.
The Angels’ first-baseman hit his 537th home run during the team’s 6-2 win over Tampa Bay, passing Yankee legend Mickey Mantle and moving into sole possession of 16th place on the all-time list.

Pujols’ shot was his 17th of the season and his 1,122nd career extra-base hit, tying him with Manny Ramirez for 14th place in the category.
Angels centerfielder Mike Trout also hit his 17th homer of the year.
