John Stamos was arrested for driving while under the influence Friday night.
The “Full House” star was pulled over on Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills just before 8 p.m after police received calls that a silver Mercedes was “driving erratically,” reports say. The 52-year-old was driving alone, and was reportedly so intoxicated that police had paramedics take him directly to the hospital.
He was cited for a misdemeanor DUI.
While making a TV appearance on a morning talk show in Australia in 2007, Stamos slurred his words and made “lewd gestures” towards the host. Though it was originally reported that the actor was just jet lagged, Stamos later admitted he was drunk.
“Yes, I was on sleeping pills and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered,” Stamos said.
