Lena Headey used a body double during Cersei Lannister’s naked walk of shame on the “Game of Thrones” finale Sunday night.
In the scene, Cersei has just confessed her sins, and for her atonement she must walk stark naked through the city. Her hair has been cropped and scabs line her head. She has bloody feet, and the entire city is yelling sexual insults at her.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, who confirmed that a body double was used, Headey talks about how the scene took three days to shoot.
“It’s not hard when people are screaming at you and you look like shit and you’re being fucking humiliated to figure out how that would feel,” Headey said.
“There’s a part of you that’s fucking terrified. I can’t even imagine people wanting your blood. Cersei has done wrong, but she doesn’t really deserve this.”
“I don’t think anyone deserves that treatment. She’s been beaten and starved and humiliated. She thinks when she comes out and confesses that this is it—even when she’s on her knees, she’s partly lying. She thinks she’s good to go. She has no idea what’s coming when she walks out to the steps, or that they’re going to shave her hair off like Aslan.”
And Headey said she doesn’t think her character’s storyline is over yet.
“I think she’s got some people to kill before she’s done.” (RELATED: Nude Photos Of Charlotte McKinney Allegedly Released In Huge Leak)
