Mindy Kaling cracked a joke about “being inside an 11-year-old girl” on live television Wednesday morning, and for some reason, it didn’t go over well.
Kaling sat down with George Stephanopoulos to promote her latest movie “Inside Out.” The Pixar film revolves around Riley, a preteen whose move to a new city is told by different characters who play her emotions. Kaling is the voice of “Disgust.”
Stephanopoulos said he took his daughters to see the film, and praised it by saying that “it really does make you feel like you’re inside this 11-year-old girl.”
A grinning Kaling replied with, “In a profoundly wholesome way.”
