Melissa Rivers has been named the newest host of “Fashion Police,” the E! television series her mother made famous.

“I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and ‘Fashion Police’ family,” Melissa said in a statement.

Kathy Griffin took over for Joan Rivers after her unexpected death in September, but she and Kelly Osbourne quit the show after Giuliana Rancic made an on-air joke that a Disney star’s dreadlocks looked like they smelled like weed. (RELATED: Melissa Rivers: ‘Kathy Griffin S*** All Over My Mother’s Legacy’)

The show has been on hiatus since, but is now scheduled to be back in late August. Rivers joins Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski as hosts, and will continue her role as executive producer on the show. (RELATED: Joan Rivers’ Daughter Files Pricey Lawsuit After Mom’s Death)
