While at court for his formal death sentencing Wednesday, Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev apologized to the victims of his deadly 2013 attack.
“I am sorry for the lives that I’ve taken,” Tsarnaev said in court. “For the suffering I caused you, for the damage I’ve done, irreparable damage.”

Before speaking, Tsarnaev heard from the victims who addressed him to his face in the courtroom. Victims inside the courtroom gave emotional speeches detailing their trauma and their feelings about Tsarnaev as he listened on.
