Gay rights proponents all over the country were ecstatic with the Supreme Court’s Friday ruling making same-sex marriage legal nationwide. However, CNN perhaps found the most excited individual during a live shot Friday afternoon.
As CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield was reporting live from the scene in New York, a gay marriage supporter interrupted the host chanting “about fucking time!” over and over. Banfield was eventually forced to go to commercial.
This is the second time in as many weeks the Turner network has been forced to deal with people interrupting their live shots. Last week, a woman began shouting at CNN’s Don Lemon and John Berman in the aftermath of the shooting in Charleston, S.C.
