Real estate tycoon and 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump took his former employer NBC to task over their bias Tuesday after the network severed ties with him over his comments about immigrants and Mexicans.
Appearing on “The O’Reilly Factor,” Trump ripped the peacock network, spewing his venom directly at MSNBC and “Meet The Press” moderator Chuck Todd. Trump told host Bill O’Reilly that the “Lean Forward” network is a “total disaster” in the ratings and bias, going on to hit the program’s “sleepy-eyes” host and his ratings.
“Do you believe there is an anti-conservative bias at NBC?” O’Reilly asked Trump. “You worked for them a long time.”
“Absolutely. You have sleepy-eyes Chuck Todd who does ‘Meet The Press,’ which is failing in the ratings,” Trump said. “You have all sorts of bias. MSNBC, nobody watches it, but it’s a total disaster in terms of bias.”
“You absolutely have a tremendous bias, so much so that I told my daughter — my daughter came up to me, Ivanka, and said ‘dad what do you think?'” Trump continued. “I said, ‘well, I’d love for you to be a conservative Republican, but in terms of your life, it’s a lot easier to be a Democrat who happens to be liberal because, I will tell you, you can go through life a lot easier.'”
For what it’s worth, “Meet The Press” has sat second or third in the Sunday show ratings in recent weeks behind CBS’s “Face The Nation, while battling it out for second with ABC’s “This Week.”
