Despite her numerous and dramatic shifts to the left over the past decade, former White House counsel Lanny Davis argued that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has not made a single position shift ever.
Appearing on Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto Coast to Coast” Thursday, Davis, a longtime Clinton backer, said that Clinton “hasn’t changed a single position in her entire career.”
Davis made the claim in response to the massive crowd Sen. Bernie Sanders raked in Wednesday night in Madison, WI. (RELATED: Bernie Sanders Attracts MASSIVE Crowd In Madison, Wisconsin)
“Bernie Sanders is a very interesting man that I respect greatly. He calls himself a socialist Democrat from Vermont. That in it of itself is interesting, and I respect him. And the crowds are extremely moved by his rhetoric, as I am, because he’s hitting on the populist message and the wealth disparity message that Hillary Clinton is mentioning as well.”
“Is she going further left though because of that? Because it is resonating?” guest host Dagen McDowell asked.
“She hasn’t changed a single position in her entire career,” Davis told McDowell. “She’s been a progressive Democrat, so I don’t know what you mean by going left. Name me the issue she went left on. I don’t agree.”
McDowell went on to mention her more recent rhetoric against policies on Wall Street compared to statements of the past.
