In his first three seasons in the NBA, Anthony Davis has quickly emerged as one of the top players in the league, and the New Orleans Pelicans want to make sure he’s staying in the Big Easy for years to come.
On Thursday morning, Davis signed a five-year contract extension with the team worth an estimated $145 million, making it the largest deal in league history.

During Davis’ first trip to the playoffs this past season, he became the fourth player in NBA history to average 30 points and 10 rebounds in his first four postseason games. He also led the league in blocks and was fourth in scoring during the 2014-2015 regular season.
