Lizzy Olsen, Miss D.C. USA, didn’t win the this week’s pageant, but she does have thoughts on Donald Trump that he will undoubtedly relish.

Back in March, WaPo‘s Joe Heim asked Olsen if she thinks Trump would make a good presidential candidate. At the time, he ran the Miss USA pageant but this year he skipped the event after Univision and NBC pulled out.

Her response? (Keep in mind this was before Trump declared that some Mexicans coming across the border are rapists. He assumes some are good people.)

“I think he’s an excellent businessman, and I feel like sometimes that’s what our economy needs,” she said. “So I think that he would definitely be a great candidate.”

A law school graduate, she is the Majority Director of Operations for the Senate Committee of Environment and Public Works.

According to the Miss Universe website, she’s 26 and 5’10.”

“Lizzy spends her free time running, volunteering, painting, and cooking but she loves nothing more than bonding with her family, friends and spending time with her cat named Bunny.”

Bunny has a backstory — Lizzy actually saved her when she and two other kittens were left on her doorstep. She nursed them back to health.

Perhaps The Hill will see fit to put her on its “50 Most Beautiful People” list?

Here she is posing in “Sun Kitten” swimwear (not making this up).
