Trying to keep the issue alive, the Republican National Committee on Tuesday called on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to address the videos showing Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of body parts after abortions.

“The new video of Planned Parenthood workers discussing the sale of fetal body parts is truly disgusting,” RNC spokeswoman Allison Moore said. “Hillary Clinton must break her silence and condemn these barbaric acts committed by one of her major donors.”

Speaker of the House John Boehner has called for congressional hearings into Planned Parenthood after the videos began surfacing last week.

But one Republican presidential candidate says the party isn’t doing enough to go on offense on the issue. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum said he would like to see legislation “to defund Planned Parenthood” brought up for votes.

“This is why I sort of scratch my head at our leadership,” Santorum said Monday. “Because they are so afraid of these issues.”

“For me, it’s an opportunity to expose the cruelty of abortion, as well as the hypocrisy of the people who are denying the reality of what occurs during abortion,” he said.
