With all the upsetting news happening around the world lately, a brighter story emerged when 8-year-old Bailey Matthews, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, completed his first triathlon, according to Bleacher Report.

The young boy who hails from Doncaster, England was without a doubt the star at Castle Howard this past weekend. Bailey completed a 100-meter lake swim, 2.5 mile bike ride and a 1,300-meter run. He also finished the race by himself using only a walking frame to keep him upright throughout the running portion.

Bailey chose to drop the frame in the last few meters of the race in order to make it to the finish line completely unaided.
