Sherri Shepherd had a funny reaction when she was told she was getting axed from ABC’s The View.
She gave herself a five finger discount on everything in sight.
“I stole everything,” she told Steve Harvey Wednesday on his daytime talk show. “I took Whoopi’s pictures off the wall. I took Barbara’s pictures off the wall. I took the TV. I took the sign. I got Whoopi’s shoes. I have my memories of The View and if they come knocking at my door I am not going to answer it.”
Shepherd, who was on the show for seven years, sure misses those hot topics.
“I am so used to sitting there and gabbing with the ladies,” she told Harvey. “Now I am watching it and I’m throwing out jokes. I’m so into it.”
Shepherd said she was really touched when former co-host Whoopi Goldberg showed up last October to see her perform in Cinderella on Broadway. “I burst into tears,” she said. “I love her. That is my sister friend.”
That sister friend bought Shepherd clothes when she didn’t have the money when she first started The View.
Shepherd told Harvey she’s going through a divorce, but assured him she’s happy.
