When asked by Fox’s Chris Wallace why he thought he could do a better job as president than former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio said that this election can’t be about the past or “resumes,” because if it is, Hillary Clinton will win.
Additionally, Rubio said that this election needs to be about the “future not the past.”
RUBIO: If this election is a resume contest, then Hillary Clinton will be the next president. She’s been in office and government longer than anybody else here running tonight, but I’ll tell you what this election better be about. This election better be about the future not the past…. If I’m the nominee, how is Hillary Clinton going to lecture me about living paycheck to paycheck?
