Donald Trump, now fundraising online for his presidential campaign, has an unorthodox pitch for someone asking grassroots supporters for “a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more.”

“I am very rich,” the billionaire Republican writes in a mass fundraising email sent to potential donors Tuesday.

The New York businessman also tells email recipients: “I want to make you and the American people rich.”

In the lengthy fundraising solicitation, Trump acknowledges his “campaign will be funded mostly with my own money.”

Trump says he wants contributions because the media “wants to claim that I have no grass-roots support” and “I want to prove them wrong.

“I believe so much in this campaign and that we can Make America Great Again, that I will match dollar-for-dollar every dollar donated by people like you,” Trump says.
