The official trailer for “The Hateful Eight” dropped Wednesday, and in true Quentin Tarantino fashion, it’s full of guns, snow and death threats from Samuel L. Jackson.

“Move a little strange, you’re gonna get a bullet,” Samuel L. Jackson’s character says. “Not a warning, not a question. A bullet.”

It’s the movie that almost didn’t happen.

After the script of the film was leaked in January of 2014, Tarantino said he was “depressed” and would no longer make the film. He also filed a lawsuit against Gawker Media for publishing it. But later that summer he surprised crowds at Comic-Con by telling them it was still happening.

Starring Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth and Bruce Dern, “The Hateful Eight” premieres Jan. 8. (RELATED: Sin City 2′ Will Come With Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ Teaser)
