Dating back to when Franklin Roosevelt signed it into law in 1935, Social Security has helped millions of families fight to escape the clutches of poverty, yet the program is currently facing a string of attacks from Congress and Washington.
Still, on Friday — the 80th anniversary of the Social Security Act — Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee issued a message to the politicians “raiding” the most successful benefits program in our nation’s history.
