Donald Trump wants to end the automatic right to citizenship for anyone born in America.
Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday, Trump laid out his eight page immigration policy that includes immediately rescinding Obama’s executive order that stopped the deportation of some younger undocumented immigrants who had entered the county as children. Trump said, “We are going to keep the families together. We have to keep the families together. But they have to go.”

Chuck Todd: Welcome back. Few things that Donald Trump has said during the campaign has attracted more attention than his negative comments about Mexican immigrants. However, he has been light on detail on how he’d address illegal immigration. Well, yesterday on his plane, he handed me his immigration plan. About an eight-page plan. He wants to end the automatic right of citizenship for anyone born in the county. That’s probably the biggest news in the plan. And he plans to immediately rescind President Obama’s executive order that stopped the deportation of some younger undocumented immigrants who had entered the county as children. Trump: One good thing..
Todd: You’ll rescind the Dream Act Executive Order?
Trump: We have to. We have to make a whole new set of standards. And when people come in, they have to come in legally.
Todd: So you’re going to split up families? You’re going to deport children?
Trump: Chuck, Chuck. No, no. We are going to keep the families together. We have to keep the families together. But they have to go.
Todd: But you’re going to keep them together out?
Trump: But they have to go.
Todd: What if they have no place to go?
Trump: We will work with them. They have to go. Chuck, we either have a country or we don’t have a county. Either we have a country or not.
Todd: The cost of doing this. How do you do it?
Trump: The cost of doing it? Look at the cost of what we have right now.
Todd: But the cost of doing it?
Trump: Let me ask you this… Do you think…
Todd: I understand though, how do you do it?
Trump: Do you think there is tremendous cost for the illegals that are in here now?
Todd: Of course there’s cost to it.
Trump: Ok, tremendous. Do you think there is tremendous crime being committed by illegals?
Todd: There’s defiantly evidence that it’s happening. It’s heinous crime.
Trump: Heinous, and you see it all over. Just last night. All over. We will do it and we will expedite it so people can come back in.
Todd: It’s still not clear.
Trump: Chuck, Chuck, it will work out so well. You will be so happy. In four years, you are going to be interviewing me and you are going to say, what a great job you’ve done President Trump.
