Melissa Rivers is still paying her mother’s housekeeping staff and beauty team almost a year after Joan Rivers died.
“Melissa is still paying everyone,” a source recently said. “She’s still taking care of everyone because that’s what Joan asked her to do. She’s being a guardian angel.”
”If you worked for Joan, she paid you a good salary, she covered your health care, she paid for your kid to go to college, and it was a job for life.”

The 81-year-old comedic legend was undergoing an routine endoscopic throat procedure last September at a clinic when she quit breathing and went into cardiac arrest. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she was placed in its Intensive Care Unit and later died.
