If you think Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders isn’t getting a fair shake in the media, don’t go whining to New York Times columnist Charles Blow.

Because he might blow up at you.

This was the fate of Emory University’s Wendy Darling, who dared to express on Blow’s Twitter feed that she didn’t appreciate the fact that Bernie isn’t getting enough press attention. Darling is Communications Specialist for Health Science Communications at the university.

Blow didn’t even start out nice. He verbally spat at her.

“He is hardly ignored,” he replied. “I hate when ppl say that. Just bc coverage isn’t fawning. Stop it.”

Darling continued, “Agree there is little fawning coverage,” she wrote. “That’s fine. But gen. thinking in news/op./humor is there is /only/ Hillary.”

This is when Blow lost his shit. What, he can’t even?

Horribly, Wendy Darling apologized. Wendy, darling, you have nothing to be sorry about. Blow is a blowhard.

“I’m sorry to see a divergent observation is not welcome so I will keep my stewing to myself,” she wrote him. “But speak on other matters.”

Winner: Hands down, Wendy Darling. Blow linked to his column and asked readers to let him know what they thought. Except he really didn’t mean all readers and he certainly did not want to know what readers like Wendy thought about his column.

If The Mirror hasn’t said it enough, NYT columnist Charles Blow blows.
