Jamie Novogrod is in Houston Monday covering the story of the gas station execution of a sheriff’s deputy.

An important question about the MSNBC reporter’s attire: Was he going clubbing after the afternoon live shot?

Novogrod had on a blue plaid shirt with enough buttons undone to reveal a swath of his chest hair. It’s not as if the TV reporter resembles a bear or a shag rug underneath, but still. Is there no dress code when covering the story of a dead deputy?

The reporter’s clothing choice reminded me of the dark blue shirt that a tanned Dylan Byers wore to the GOP presidential debates in Cleveland last month. Byers is a media reporter for Politico. The publication is known for being buttoned up, not down.

No chest hair could be seen on Byers’ bod, however. (As shown below.)
