Prosecutors will seek the death penalty for Dylann Roof after he allegedly murdered nine black people in the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, according to a report from ABC News.

One of the determining factors for the state seeking death penalty was due to Roof being charged with killing more than two people during his murderous rampage.

Roof is also facing federal charges which would also make him eligible for the death penalty in the federal system according to Fox News.
