A day after saying that she would not apologize for using a personal email account as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton has reversed course and said she’s sorry.

“That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility,” Clinton told ABC News’ David Muir during an interview on Tuesday.

On Friday, Clinton offered an apology of sorts, but said only that she was sorry that her email arrangement “was confusing to people.”

She remained defiant amid calls for an unqualified apology as late as Monday. During an interview with the Associated Press she said she was not going to apologize for the setup because it “was allowed” by the State Department.
