Planned Parenthood is planning to move its headquarters in Washington, D.C., to a new location right next to an elementary school, and the response has been less than enthusiastic.

The Planned Parenthood health center, which will provide abortions and other women’s health care, is set to open next spring, The Washington Post reports.

Already, though, protesters have begun to line up on the sidewalk outside the clinic and it is causing issues for Two Rivers Public Charter School, which started classes last month.

The school, which is one of the most sought after charter schools in the city, was forced to warn parents and children about protesters standing outside the building holding signs with “graphic images.”

As students and parents approached the school prior to the beginning of classes, they were met by protesters with pictures of aborted fetuses shouting at them as they tried to enter the building.

It got so bad the school was forced to call police to deal with the protesters, according to a statement posted on the school’s Facebook page.

“We have talked with police and are monitoring the situation, but police report that thus far protesters have stayed within their rights,” the statement read. “Police have advised people not to engage with the protesters and to call 911 if you feel threatened. We are very disappointed that this is happening outside of the building, but once you get in – we’ve got excited teachers ready to see you all!”

A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood did not immediately return request for comment for this story.

Two Rivers has been operating out of its current location at 1227 4th Street Northeast, which is a few blocks from the NoMa-Galludet University Metro station, since 2007.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Inc. currently runs its operations out of a downtown location near Farragut Square, where it has been for more than 40 years.

Up until 2011, the School for Arts In Learning, a separate public charter school, operated right next door to the Planned Parenthood headquarters without incident.

The school closed in 2011 due to financial issues.
