Betty Cantrell was crowned Miss America Sunday night while wearing a crop top, something a pageant audience has never seen before.
The former Miss Georgia beat out 51 other contestants after singing “Tu Tu Piccolo Iddio” from “Madame Butterfly” in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.
