Taxpayers are footing the bill for some federal employees’ yoga sessions, according to the ‘Waste Report‘ recently released by Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

The Department of State, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency, and the obscure Railroad Retirement Board all offer free yoga to their employees at some office locations, costing taxpayers roughly $150,000 since 2013, Paul says.

Paul is a Republican presidential candidate and chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs’ Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight.

“Maybe you saw a Groupon for yoga classes and considered it, but, even at a discount you were not sure you wanted to spend the money,” the brief report says. “Well, if you were an employee at certain federal agencies, you would not have to worry about cost, as the U.S. taxpayer picks up the tab.”

The Railroad Retirement Board once charged employees for classes, “but in some kind of weird reversal of economic principles, there was so much demand, the agency decided to start picking up the tab in 2010,” Paul notes.
