Cindy Crawford almost removed the mole that made her famous because she was teased so much about it in school.
In her new memoir, Crawford writes that kids used to yell, “Hey, little Crawford, you have chocolate on your face!”
“I definitely wanted to get it removed,” Crawford said. “But my mother always said, ‘You know what your mole looks like, you don’t know what the scar is going to look like.'”
“Now it’s so much just a part of my face that I don’t think, ‘Oh, how’s my mole doing today?'”
“But it’s the thing that made people remember me, and it made a lot of women who also have beauty marks identify with me. They set you apart.” (PHOTOS: Jennifer Aniston Inspired Selena Gomez’s Nude Album Cover)
“My daughter, Kaia, didn’t get the mole but my son, Presley, did and he wanted to get it removed. I took him to a doctor who said exactly what my mom said to me: ‘You’ll have a scar.’ But it was good because he made the decision himself not to have it removed.” (PHOTOS: Jennifer Aniston In Nothing But A Towel)
