McCain: ‘I Slept Like A Baby’ After Losing 2008 Election [VIDEO]

After losing the 2008 presidential election, John McCain told Stephen Colbert Monday night he “slept like a baby,” meaning he would “sleep two hours, wake up and cry, sleep two hours, wake up and cry.” (RELATED: McCain To Colbert: Bachmann-Cain Admin Could Have Done Better Job Than Obama)

When Colbert was reviewing McCain’s CV on the show and got to the 2008 election, McCain told Colbert, “Thanks for bringing that up” and that he still only thought about losing the election “four or five times a night.”

McCain told Colbert that if he won the election, “I would’t be on this show.”
